Anjel of Mind Counseling and Advocacy LLC is proudly owned by a licensed therapist, advocate, and lifelong believer in the power of human resilience.

Meet me- Raven Anjel Winding, MSW, LCSW. My work is guided by the understanding that healing isn’t linear and that every person carries a story worth being heard, honored, and understood.

My path into mental health was deeply personal. Growing up with a mother living with schizophrenia taught me the importance of empathy, advocacy, and seeing the whole person behind a diagnosis. That experience continues to shape how I show up; with compassion, patience, and a commitment to creating spaces where people feel safe to simply be.

As a clinician, I use an eclectic, person-centered approach that integrates CBT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, restorative practices, and strengths-based therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are, helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom, and walking beside you as you rediscover your peace, power, and purpose.

Beyond the therapy room, I’m passionate about advocacy; helping individuals and families navigate complex systems with clarity and confidence. My goal is to bridge healing and action, supporting not just mental wellness, but also access, equity, and voice.

Anjel of Mind was born from a desire to bring grace, presence, and advocacy together — to remind us all that even through the storms, we can still find calm, connection, and courage.

My Approach

At Anjel of Mind Counseling and Advocacy, I believe healing begins with connection. Every person has their own story, shaped by experiences that deserve to be met with compassion and understanding; not judgment. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life.

I use an eclectic blend of evidence-based and holistic practices to meet each person where they are. This includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and reshape unhelpful patterns of thought.

  • Trauma-Informed Care to create safety and support for those navigating painful experiences.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to cultivate self-compassion, mindfulness, and value-driven living.

  • Mindfulness and grounding techniques to strengthen presence and self-awareness.

  • Motivational Interviewing to empower meaningful change through self-discovery.

  • Restorative and strengths-based practices to highlight resilience, relationships, and inner growth.

Together, we’ll focus on uncovering the patterns that no longer serve you and nurturing the tools that help you move toward balance, confidence, and peace. My role is to walk alongside you; offering guidance, reflection, and advocacy as you reconnect with the parts of yourself that are still healing, still strong, and still rising.
